Bienvenue à Paris

A few months ago, I wrote a blog post about moving to Paris in the summer – well I’m here now! This post is a little late (when will one of my posts not start like that?), as I’ve been living here for three weeks now. For the summer, I’m doing an internship in a four-star boutique hotel in the 6th arrondissement. It’s a historic neighbourhood, which is also pretty central as the louvre, the seine and Notre Dame are only a walk away. I couldn’t ask for a better location.

I’m living with my old French exchange from school and her family. We’ve been friends ever since the exchange six years ago and visit each other once a year, so I know her and her family very well. They are so kind to let me stay with them for the entire summer, I plan to repay them with countless jars of lemon curd (I know that’s their favourite).

Unlike the work I did in Spain, it’s taken quite seriously here (weird, why would they do that?). My hours are like a nine to five week, so I don’t have as much time to explore and travel as I did before. However, I plan to make the most of the weekends and evenings by exploring Paris to the full. Since I’ve been here I’ve already ticked off a few sights. I’m only just getting started, so apologies in advance for Paris spam on my Instagram this summer.

Very excited for what’s to come, watch this space x
